Rajkumar Kohli, the veteran filmmaker, breathed his last at 93 after suffering a heart attack. The filmmaker's funeral is scheduled for Friday evening. Notably, in 2002, he revisited his cult classic 'Jaani Dushman,' creating 'Jaani Dushman: Ek Anokhi Kahaani,' a star-studded venture. The confirmation of this news was provided by Vijay Grover, the publicist for Armaan Kohli. The final rites are set to occur this evening. 

The demise of Rajkumar Kohli unfolded as he was taking his morning shower. Concerned when he didn't emerge for an extended period, his son Armaan Kohli broke in to discover him on the floor. He was pronounced dead upon arrival. Born on September 14, 1930, in Lahore, Rajkumar Kohli commenced his journey in the film industry directing and producing Punjabi films. His directorial debut was marked by 'Dulla Bhatti' in 1966, followed by a successful stint in action, thriller, and horror genres. Notable among his successes are 'Nagin' (1976), 'Muqabla' (1979), and 'Jaani Dushman.' Additionally, he helmed the murder mystery 'Bees Saal Baad' in 1988. 


Rajkumar Kohli's filmography boasts numerous multi-starrer movies featuring luminaries like Sunil Dutt, Dharmendra, Jeetendra, and Shatrughan Sinha, along with actresses such as Reena Roy and Anita Raaj. His dedication to his son Armaan's career was evident, launching him in 'Virodhi' (1992) and persistently trying to re-establish him with movies like 'Aulad Ke Dushman' (1993) and 'Qahar' (1997). 'Jaani Dushman Ek Anokhi Kahani' remains a well-known creation in his repertoire.
