Since the time Rajkumar Hirani’s name has been called out in the #MeToo movement, Bollywood has been divided into two. While a few are slamming the renowned director, others are in his full support. After Dia Mirza, Rajkumar Hirani’s 3 Idiots actor Sharman Joshi and filmmaker Boney Kapoor have reacted to the news. Both, Sharman and Boney have defended Hirani in their statements.

Sharman took to social media and wrote a heartfelt note for Hirani, addressing him as “a man of immense integrity.” His message read, “Raju Sir is a man of immense integrity, character, honour, compassion and truthfulness, all the virtues one would imagine are non-existent in people today, someone I am absolutely inspired by and have learnt from and because of whom I believe I have gone onto being a better person. All I want to say, Sir is that this too shall pass. I can imagine how demeaning it might be to even stand up for yourself in a situation such as this.”

On the other hand, Boney Kapoor disagreed from all the allegations that have been made on Raju Hirani. The 63-year-old filmmaker told ANI, "I don't believe this allegation. He can never do something like this."

Yesterday, Dia Mirza, who has worked with him in Sanju, too revealed that she’s ‘deeply distressed’ by this news. She told Pinkvilla, “I am deeply distressed by this news. As someone who has known and respected Raju Sir for 15 years, I can only hope that a due official enquiry is conducted. He is one of the most decent human beings I have ever worked with and I think it would be grossly unjust on my part to speak on this as I do not know the details."

Rajkumar Hirani was called out for sexual misconduct on Sunday, by a woman who has worked with him in Sanju. Meanwhile, the filmmaker, whose name has been removed as the co-producer of Ek Ladki Ko Dekha Toh Aisa Laga, has denied all the allegations against him.
