Pyaar Tune Kya Kiya And Road Director Rajat Mukherjee No More; Manoj Bajpayee, Anubhav Sinha And Hansal Mehta Pay Condolences

Bollywood director Rajat Mukherjee passed away in the early hours of Sunday in Jaipur after a prolonged illness

Known for his movies such as Pyaar Tune Kya Kiya and Road, Bollywood director Rajat Mukherjee breathed his last on Sunday. The director passed away in Jaipur in the early hours of Sunday after his prolonged illness. Senior actor Manoj Bajpayee and filmmakers Anubhav Sinha, Hansal Mehta taking to their Twitter account paid their condolences.  The actor and the filmmakers in their Tweet mentioned the times they spent with him, as they prayed for the departed soul to rest in peace. 

Manoj Bajpayee in his Tweet mentioned that no more he will be able to meet him and discuss work ever again with him, as he paid his condolences. His Tweet read, “My friend and director of Road, Rajat Mukherjee passed away in the early hours today in Jaipur after a long battle with illness!!! Rest in peace Rajat !!Still can’t believe that we will never meet or discuss our work ever again.khush reh jaha bhi reh.”

Meanwhile Anubhav Sinha mentioned in his Tweet of one of his friends, gone too soon with Rajat’s death, he tweeted, “Another friend gone too soon. Director Rajat Mukherjee (Pyar Tune Kya Kiya, Road). He was dealing with multiple health situations past few months in Jaipur. Go well mate.”


While the Aligarh director Hansal Mehta penned about struggles and their meals they had together, remembering the late director. He wrote in his Tweet, “Just got news about the passing away of a dear friend. Rajat Mukherjee director of Pyaar Tune Kya Kiya and Road was a friend from our early, early struggles in Bombay. Many meals, many bottles of Old Monk consumed. Many more to consume in another world. Will miss you dear friend.” 


The Pyaar Tune Kya Kiya released in 2001 starring Urmila Matondkar and Fardeen Khan and Road starring Vivek Oberoi and Antara Mali in 2002 was directed by Rajat Mukherjee.
