Priyanka Chopra
has quit as the brand ambassador of famous jewellery brand, Nirav Modi after
the business tycoon’s name got involved in a major scam of Rs. 11,000-crore related to Punjab
National Bank.
Priyanka, who was
appointed as the brand ambassador along with Sidharth Malhotra in 2017, had
slapped a case on Nirav Modi for
non-payments for their endorsement deals, a few weeks back.

And
now an official statement about the Quantico actress terminating her contract
with the brand has been released. It reads as follows:
“In
light of recent allegations, Priyanka Chopra has chosen to terminate her
contract with the Nirav Modi brand."
Not
just Priyanka but Sidharth has also been exploring legal options to get out of
the deal after the news of the scam came out.

Last
week, the Enforcement Directorate had conducted a raid at Nirav Modi's
offices and home in Mumbai. After CBI, they too have registered a money

Priyanka Chopra With Nirav Modi
After being
appointed as a brand ambassador, Priyanka in a statement had said, “My
association with Nirav Modi is like a meeting of minds in many ways. We are
both fiercely proud of our heritage and are united by the idea of bringing a
modern India to the global forefront. His jewels are one of a kind and
effortless, with an understated elegance."
Unfortunately, the actress’ association with the brand could not go on for too
long- but a wise call!
