Speaking with Film Companion during the promotions of her web show Citadel, The Sky Is Pink actress mentioned was asked if she finds it difficult to snap in and out of her characters. Replying to this, the desi girl stated that since she isn’t a lot into method acting, she ended up behaving like her character Sonia from Aitraaz, in real life. Priyanka was quoted saying, “To get into it. I’m not very method like that. It only happened to me once, when my mother was like, ‘Snap out of it if you’re going to come into my house.” When asked which film it was, the actress revealed it was her character Sonia from Aitraaz. Priyanka added, “I would walk in slowly, I would talk deliberately. The Barfi star even revealed her mother Madhu Chopra’s reaction and said “My mother was like, ‘Hello, koi camera nahi hai yahan pe. Come back home’. That was the only time it happened to me, it was so funny. I was like, ‘What am I doing?’ But I was so young, and I was so nervous about that character.”
She went on to reveal that her mother once recorded her while she was behaving like Sonia and showed it to her. Priyanka confessed she felt very embarrassed and realized that she has to leave her characters on set. Meanwhile, Chopra’s next project Citadel also stars Richard Madden and will premiere on Amazon Prime Video next Friday, April 28.
