Priyanka Chopra Jonas, who is busy promoting her upcoming spy actioner series ‘Citadel’, has opened up about getting trolled for calling ‘RRR’ Tamil film. In a new interview, she spoke about how people find mistakes in whatever she does. PeeCee explained that earlier she was a lot more free-spirited, but now, she has become a bit more cautious because she has a family to think about. The desi girl went on to state that the higher you go in life, the more people look for a reason for you to fall.
Speaking with Mid-Day, the 40-year-old actress stated, “People try to find a mistake in anything I do. I think people enjoy that a little bit. I was a lot more free-spirited, but now, I am a bit more cautious because I have my family to think about. The higher you go in life, the more people look for a reason for you to fall. But at the same time, I have so much love and support from my family, friends, and fans. For the unversed, The Baywatch actress during her appearance on the Dax Shepard podcast compared Bollywood to be like the 50s of Hollywood when a few stars and big studios controlled everything. Agreeing with this, Priyanka said, “I don't think you are far from it. I think that was what it was big studios, five actors big movies will be made by them; but the game is changed so much now. First of all, it's streaming.” When Priyanka expressed that ‘Bollywood has evolved’, the host tagged 'RRR' as a Bollywood film. Priyanka corrected him and said, “That's a Tamil movie by the way. It's like big, mega, blockbuster Tamil which does all of those. it's like our Avengers.”
Soon after this, she got brutally trolled on social media. One of the netizens had written, one user wrote, “If it is to be believed then @priyankachopra lacks clarity on Indian cinema. #RRR is an Original #Telugu movie, NOT a #Tamil movie.”
