Actor Priyanka Chopra's father Dr. Ashok Chopra passed away on June 10, 2013, after valiantly fighting cancer for 5 years. Today marks his 8th death anniversary and remembering him, his wife, Madhu Chopra took to her Twitter handle to share a throwback picture of her husband. She backed the photo with 'forever and always loved'. Priyanka also retweeted her mom's post, and she remembered her late father. In the actor's recent interview with Oprah Winfrey, she opened up about her late father, saying how much she misses him.
She recalled how her father would get excited about her smallest joys and victories. "I miss most about him just how unabashedly proud of me he would be in the littlest things. Even if I am having dinner and my plate is clean, my dad would be excited. If I wore a dress that I liked, my dad would be excited. From the littlest thing to the biggest thing, he would be the loudest in the room. I miss the noise, the excitement he had, the joy and investment he had in my life and just how excited he used to be about everything about me," she said.
The Bajirao Mastani actor even got herself inked with 'Daddy's lil girl' on her wrist which was of her father's handwriting. During the same interview, Priyanka also recalled the time when she visited various places to get the finest treatment to prolong his life.
PeeCeee visited temples, performed prayers, met 'every godman or godwoman'. "I flew my dad to Singapore, New York, Europe, India, everywhere, just to do whatever I could to prolong his life.
