The wedding festivities of Shaza Morani and Priyaank Sharma are in full swing in the Maldives in the presence of their families and close ones. But now as per reports in ETimes, the duo will have to wait for a little longer to perform a Hindu traditional wedding ceremony. The families were supposed to hold a lavish wedding ceremony in Aamby Valley or Khandala with 250 people attending it, however with the rise in COVID-19 cases, the family has decided to hold back.
A source told the publication, “But that's not happening for now as there has been a resurgence of COVID cases in Maharashtra and the rules have brought the otherwise permissible limit of 250 individuals to 50 again. In view of this, the Sharmas and Moranis will have the Hindu wedding done soon but at a later date.” All the ceremonies which are to be conducted before a Hindu wedding were seen taking place in the Maldives, following which the families were supposed to host the wedding back here in India.
“The Maldives festivities were a pre-wedding celebration to the Hindu wedding which was meant to follow four days from now,” adds the source.
