Pranutan Bhal Opens Up About Her Tribute To Grandmother Nutan And Her Melody, Says ‘I Was Very Nervous’

Actress Pranutan Bhal recently paid tribute to her late grandmother and yesteryear actress Nutan, by recreating the timeless melody ‘Mora Gora Ang Laile’ in a video on Instagram. The actress who was seen dressed in a black salwar kameez, graceful moves and captioned the video, “This is a really special one because it’s my dadi’s song.”


Talking about the same, Pranutan shared her experience and revealed that she was very nervous. “It was a wonderful experience, and I was obviously very nervous because it is a classic song. We all know that it is performed by an absolute legend, which is my dadi. This is one of my absolute favourite songs. I’ve been learning Bharatnatyam but I wanted to do Kathak for this song,” quoted Hindustan Times Pranutan Bhal. 



She added, “I didn’t get a lot of time to prepare for it so I was more nervous. But I just wanted to do this once and see how it will turn out.”


The young actress elaborated her experience in the overwhelming response she has been receiving for her tribute to her late grandmother. 


“I feel honoured when audiences talk about my resemblance to dadi. She was one of a kind, and I really enjoy her performances, with Bandini being my favourite. I am overwhelmed with all the love and beautiful responses that I have been getting on my performance. A big hug to all my fans,” she concludes.


Pranutan Bhal is the daughter of Monish Bhal. She made her Bollywood debut with Notebook in 2019. She was last seen in the recently released film, ‘Helmet’ where she is seen sharing the screen space with Aparshakti Khurrana in the lead role. The actress is yet to announce her next project.
