Pradeep Sarkar PASSES Away At 68; Bollywood Celebrities Ajay Devgn, Abhishek Bachchan, Vivek Agnihotri Mourn The Loss Of Their ‘Dada’

Celebrities have taken to social media to mourn the loss of filmmaker Pradeep Sarkar, who was undergoing dialysis

Filmmaker Pradeep Sarkar has left for his heavenly abode. He breathed his last on Friday morning, March 24th at 3:30 am. He passed away at the hospital. According to ETimes, he was rushed to the hospital at 3 am after his condition deteriorated. He was on dialysis and his “potassium levels had dropped drastically.” 

It is being reported that his funeral arrangements have been made at the Santacruz Hindu Crematorium, Mumbai for 4 pm. Bollywood celebrities have taken to their official social media handles to mourn the loss of their favourite ‘Dada.’ They have expressed their shock and grief at the sudden passing of the director. Many have even shared unseen pictures with him.

Sharing the poster of his funeral, The Kashmir Files director Vivek Agnihotri wrote, “Lost another gem of a person. Pradeep Da was a truly creative person which reflected in his art as well his behaviour. You will live in our hearts with your art. ओम शांति।”

For the unversed, he made his directorial debut with Vidya Balan, Sanjay Dutt and Saif Ali Khan starrer Parineeta (2005). He went on to work with notable actors like Kajol, Deepika Padukone, Rani Mukerji, Neil Nitin Mukesh in many projects. He directed many movies like Laaga Chunari Mein Daag (2007), Lafangey Parindey (2010), Mardaani (2014) and Helicopter Eela (2018). He also directed web-shows like Coldd Lassi Aur Chicken Masala (2019), Arranged Marriage and Forbidden Love (2020) and Duranga (2022). 

The filmmaker’s passing has surely left a huge impact on Bollywood.
