This morning, Mumbaikars faced a sudden power cut in the city. The unfortunate incident happened due to grid failure that led to power outage in the entire Mumbai Metropolitan Region (MMR) region, today, on October 12. While the power cut has put everything to halt, Bollywood actors like Amitabh Bachchan, Kangana Ranaut, Armaan Malik, Ali Fazal, and Nimrat Kaur among many others have taken to social media to ask citizens to remain calm while expressing disappointment on the same.
Big B tweeted, “Entire city in power outage .. somehow managing this message .. keep calm all shall be well ..,” “Dongles working .. Vodafone is working for me ..” Armaan Malika shared a close up picture of himself and wrote, “daya pata karo yeh Mumbai mein power kisne cut kiya.” He also Tweeted, “I have amazing 4G.” Mirzapur 2 actor Ali Fazal wrote on twitter, “Bombay electricity kaputt! Phone is melting.” Bollywood actress Nimrat Kaur wrote, “Hi retrograde Mercury! Missed you #MumbaiPowerFailure.” Singer Andhera in #Andheri. Whats with the power cuts ? i have 16 floors to climb now.”
Reacting to the same, Kangana Ranaut took a dig at comedian Maharashta government, Kunal Kamra and Shiv Sena party member Sanjay Raut. She wrote, “#Powercut in Mumbai, meanwhile Maharashtra government क-क-क.......कंगना ।“ In the picture, Kunal and Sanjay Raut are seen posing with miniature bulldozers on the table.

For the uninitiated, BMC bulldozed Kangana Ranaut’s office’s illegal construction. Following which the Manikarnika actress filed a suit in Bombay High Court seeking damages of Rs 2 cr. Meanwhile, electricity is being restored in some parts of the city.
