The Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB) is investigating the drugs probe in Mumbai, and according to a
report in India Today, the agency raided the residence of Bollywood producer Firoz Nadiadwala on Sunday. The report states that Firoz Nadiadwala’s residence is located at the upscale western suburbs of Mumbai, and some amount of drugs have reportedly been recovered from there. The report states that the producer was not at his home when the raid was conducted.
The report in India Today also states that Firoz Nadiadwala’s wife was questioned by the NCB today, and that Firoz Nadiadwala will be summoned by the NCB for interrogation soon. His name had surfaced while the NCB interrogated some of the detained suspects. Meanwhile, the Narcotics Control Bureau continues with the drug probe, and according to a report in ANI, the NCB conducted raids at five locations- Malad, Andheri, Lokhandwala, Kharghar and Koparkhairane.
ANI also reported that one alleged drug peddler has been arrested by the NCB on the intervening night of 7th and 8th November. The tweet by ANI read, “One alleged drug peddler arrested after Narcotics Control Bureau conducted raids at Andheri and Kharghar areas on the intervening night of 7th and 8th November. #Maharashtra.”
Firoz Nadiadwala has produced many Bollywood films such as Welcome Back, Phir Hera Pheri, Welcome, and others.
