Payal Ghosh recently met with National Commission for Women head Rekha Sharma in Delhi. The actress shared pictures from her meeting with the NCW head as she discussed the ongoing investigation against filmmaker Anurag Kashyap. The Bengali actress met in regards to the #MeToo allegations she levelled against Kashyap in the FIR she has lodged in Mumbai. Now, after meeting with the NCW head Rekha Sharma in Delhi, Payal Ghosh shared her views on Richa Chadha’s defamation case against her. The actress said she has nothing to do with the case filed by the Fukrey actress.
Speaking to ANI, Payal Ghosh opened up about the case that Richa Chadha filed against her, accusing the Bengali actress and others of maligning her image. Reacting to the same, Ghosh said, “I don’t have anything to do with Richa Chadha. I did not defame her so I don’t understand what her case is all about. I have only stated what Mr. Kashyap had told me. It’s not my personal view. So this defamation case is not valid. Anyways, if she has said that, then will face that and we’ll carify.”
The Bengali actress mentioned that she has nothing to do with Richa Chadha. She continued to say that she has not defamed her and mentioned how she does not understand Richa’s case. Payal spoke on how she has only stated what Anurag Kashyap told her and explained that it’s not her personal view. Ghosh finally said that she is ready to face everything and clarify and called Richa Chadha’s defamation case ‘not valid’.
