Filmmaker Anurag Kashyap was questioned for almost 8 hours at the Versova Police station. He was interrogated in connection to the FIR lodged against him by Payal Ghosh, who levelled sexual assault allegations against him. Today, Kashyap’s lawyer released an official statement which stated that the director has provided evidence of him being out of the country when the incident took place. After Anurag Kashyap’s lawyer releases a statement, Payal Ghosh reacts. She claims that Kashyap has lied in his statement before the police and demands a lie detector test to be conducted.

On Twitter, Payal Ghosh tweeted, “Mr.Kashyap has lied bfr police in his statement..my Lawyer,is moving an application 2conduct Narco Analysis,Lie Detector &Polygraph Test of Mr.kashyap 2find out d truth Today application wl be filed to d police station,4 d interest of Justice @narendramodi @AmitShah #BetiBachao.”

Payal Ghosh alleged that Anurag Kashyap has lied while recording his statement before the Mumbai police. The Bengali actress also mentioned that her lawyer is moving an application requesting a Narco Analysis, Lie Detector and Polygraph Test to be conducted of Anurag Kashyap. She demanded that the tests must be conducted to find out the truth and mentioned that the application will be filed in the police station today, to seek justice.

Meanwhile, the statement released by Anurag Kashyap’s lawyer Priyanka Khimani stated that the filmmaker has denied the #MeToo allegations levelled against him. It also stated that Kashyap was not in the country when the incident took place, but was shooting in Sri Lanka. He also provided evidence to the police officials and is set to take action against Payal Ghosh’s claims.
