With COVID-19 receding in parts of Europe Indian filmmakers are now planning their schedules abroad in countries that are relatively COVID-free. Aditya Chopra-Siddharth Anand’s Shah Rukh Khan starrer Pathan will now head to Europe for a lengthy episode which will include Salman Khan’s cameo appearance, to be a shot in a week-long stretch.
Many Bollywood producers are now exploring the foreign option to resume shooting, since shooting in India would be considered dangerous even if the lockdown ended. Some television crews are also considering the option of shifting abroad.
Sony’s Indian Idol is now being shot in Daman. The new season of The Kapil Sharma Show is also likely to be shot abroad.
Shah Rukh Khan’s impatient fans have been eagerly clinging to the news that Shah Rukh Khan has said yes to a film entitled Pathan starring Shah Rukh Khan, Deepika Padukone and John Abraham, to be directed by Siddharth Anand.
Another project being talked about is Tamil director Atlee Kumar’s Hindi debut which would apparently feature Shah Rukh Khan in a double role.
The other project that Shah Rukh has given the nod to is with director Raj Kumar Hirani and that now awaits the final draft of the script. I also know with certainty that Shah Rukh Khan has been in talks with Sanjay Leela Bhansali for a possible project. But again any sign of locking in the project is far from the truth.
