This afternoon, reports of a
major fight breaking out on the sets of Pathan made headlines. It was being reported that the director Siddharth Anand got into an ugly fight with an assistant director for allegedly misbehaving on the sets. The early report stated that after their major brawl, Siddharth and AD apparently slapped each other which resulted in cancellation of the shoot for a day. However now the latest report denies any physical fight on the set, however an argument did take place on the Pathan sets.
According to a report in India Today, a source slammed the rumours and called the fight baseless and untrue. A source revealed to the portal, “The report that director Siddharth Anand and an assistant director got into a fight is absolutely baseless and untrue. Sid and his team share a bond beyond years and they all look up to him as their big brother.”
The source further called the slapping incident absolutely baseless and said, “The truth of the matter is that a light-man was slightly injured while doing his job and he was being tended to. Thankfully, it wasn’t serious. But a junior artist, was taking a video of the incident with an ulterior motive to circulate it. Siddharth Anand first instructed the said person to not to do the same as it was highly insensitive. However, he was slyly trying to do the same again. That’s when the director, as the leader of the team, sternly asked him to handover his mobile phone and exit the set.”
