Pathaan’s first song ‘Besharam Rang’ sparked a major controversy with several politicians opposing Deepika Padukone wearing a saffron coloured bikini in the song. While many demanded a ban on the release of the film, some urged the government to take strict action against the makers. Following this uproar over the song, the Central Board of Film Certification (CBFC) suggested several changes to Shah Rukh Khan and Deepika Padukone starrer actioner which included changes in the songs as well.
Now as per the latest reports, the close-up shots of Deepika’s buttocks, 'side pose shots in a gold swimsuit, and visuals of her sensuous dance movements on the lyrics 'Bahut tang kiya' have been censored and replaced with 'suitable shots'. As far as Deepika’s controversial orange bikini shots are concerned, it is not clear if they have been censored or not.
Talking about the cuts, CBFC chairperson Prasoon Joshi said in a statement, “Pathaan went through the due and through examining process as per the CBFC guidelines. The committee has guided the makers to implement the advised changes in the film including the songs and submit the revised version prior to theatrical release. CBFC is always committed to find the right balance between creative expression and sensibility of the audience and believe that we can always find solution through meaningful dialogue between all stakeholders.” ALSO READ: Pathaan FIRST Song Besharam Rang OUT: Bikini Clad Deepika Padukone, Shirtless Shah Rukh Khan Ooze Hotness, Wow Fans With Their Sizzling Chemistry

As reported by Bollywood Hungama, the CBFC asked for more than 10 cuts in ‘Pathaan’ and several words have been replaced. A word like 'RAW' has been replaced with 'Hamare', 'Langde Lulle' was replaced by 'Toote Foote', 'PM' was replaced by ‘President or Minister’, the word scotch was replaced by 'drink', and the word 'PMO' was removed from 13 places.
