Must say Parineeti Chopra is one helluva loyalist to the Yash Raj banner, even if it means turning down an opportunity to act opposite Hrithik Roshan.
The new-improved, slim-trim Pari was approached by Sanjay Gupta to play the female lead in the film he starts next year with Hrithik, someone who has been pursuing to sign up ever since Roshan Jr. made his debut in Kaho Na Pyaar Hai.
The Hrithik-Sanjay collaboration did hit rough weather when the producer-director was charged of ‘stealing’ its script idea. That snafu has been sorted out, it seems, and the film will go on floors once Hrithik is free of Ashutosh Gowariker’s Mohenjo Daro.
Parineeti had to decline the offer politely, saying that the dates which were required of her in March had already been committed to Aditya Chopra’s Yash Raj, which introduced her to show business with eye-ball-grabbing roles in Ladies Vs Ricky Bahl and then Ishaqzaade.
The project for which Parineeti has committed her dates could well be Befikre, which Aditya Chopra is to direct with the current hottie Ranveer Singh.
Parineeti, at present, has no films on her plate. Not surprisingly, she has been frequently seen hanging around the Yash Raj campus with her steady boyfriend director Maneesh Sharma.
Steady? Well, they had broken off for a while and weren’t on talking terms. But now Parineeti and Maneesh seem to be inseparable.
The actress has been noticed even watching Maneesh direct Shah Rukh Khan on the Yash Raj studio sets of Fan. Nope, she doesn’t give her opinion or advice. She watches Khan and her director with eyes wide open.
We like but we aren’t sure if Hrithik and Sanjay share our sentiments.
