Bollywood actress Parineeti Chopra is currently over the moon as she promised the love of her life politician Ragav Chadha an eternity of togetherness as they tied the knot on September 24. She recently took to her official social media handles to share photos from her big day. While fans went gaga over the now viral photos, many trolled the newly wed for choosing a ‘boring’ colour palette for their outfits. The Instagram handle Diet Sabya, notoriously known for calling out celebrities for their fashion statements, re-shared the photos with the caption, “Discuss.”
Well, this opened up the floodgates of trolls and netizens had a field day criticising the actress for following in the footsteps of Alia Bhatt and Kiara Advani. Many even expressed how her wedding photos look like an “influencer's recreation of Ranbir and alia's wedding.” Others spoke about Raghav’s name written on her veil, and how Bollywood needs to start adding colours to their wedding arrangements. Netizens left no stone unturned to mock the newlyweds for following the same colour palette as other Bollywood celebrities. Fans were quick to take notice of the nasty and rude comments towards the happy couple and came out in support of Pari and Raghav. They took to the comment section of the post to school the naysayers. While many complimented the 34-year-old actress for completing her look with two different shades of emeralds in her jewellery, others stated facts that brides have only three palettes shades - red, white and pastels, when it comes to wearing wedding ensembles. One even wrote, “Please understand heroines have so many OTT wedding looks in their films already, they want their actual wedding to be different and hence opt for muted aesthetics.” Another wrote, “We are so entitled to opinions that we won’t think twice before ripping apart her one of the most beautiful day. Whatever she wore works for her and she likes it. Hell with your opinion. Leave them alone.”
Talking about the happy couple, they tied the knot in The Leela Palace in Udaipur on September 24. The grand Indian wedding left many awestruck with glimpses of the groom and the venue going viral on social media. It was earlier reported that their wedding functions will be attended by over 200 guests and more than 50 VVIP guests. Their wedding and reception cards too had gone viral on the internet.
