During the promotions of Tiger Zinda Hai on a TV
show, Salman Khan had allegedly made a casteist slur, comparing his dancing
skills to a "bhangi."
While Salman might have loosely used the term,
but it didn’t go down well with the Valmiki Samaj. And hence a complaint was
registered against the actor on December 21, 2017.
Almost two months since the controversy, Katrina
Kaif has also invited legal trouble for the episode.
A petition has been filed in the Patiala House
Court in Delhi by Harnam Singh, former Chairman of Delhi Commission for
Karamcharis, on Thursday.
They want to now lodge an FIR against Katrina Kaif and Salman Khan for the
latter’s casteist remark.
The complaint says that "rather than
protesting at the offensive and insensitive statement, Katrina Kaif joined the
accused number 1 (Khan) in insulting and abusing the victim through her
conduct."
For those who are coming in late, SpotboyE.com
had told you that Shilpa Shetty had also invited legal trouble back in December
as Salman had made the casteist slur on a reality show hosted by Shilpa. After
protests, Shilpa had rendered an apology to her fans.
Some of my words from an interview in the past have been misinterpreted. It was never said with the intent of hurting anyone’s feelings...
