Oscars 2019, this morning, came to an end with Julia Roberts, who was on stage to give away the Best Picture Award, closing the event. "Well, apparently, that wraps up the 91st Academy Awards. I would like to say congratulations to all the nominees and winners. And good night to Bradley Cooper's mother and my children. And thank you for watching," Roberts said and with that, the credits rolled and the show was over. This has happened for the 2nd time, that Oscars has been held without an emcee. It first happened in 1989 and the event was a disaster. However, this year with ABC reportedly pressurizing organizers to cut down on the telecast time, the ceremony moved rather swiftly and fast.

Talking about the winners of the night, Green Book won the Best Picture Award. "We made this film with love, we made it with respect, and we made it with tenderness," producer Jim Burke said. The film also won an Oscar for best original screenplay. The Best Director award went to Alfonso Cuarón for his film Roma. Olivia Colman took home the trophy for best actress for her role as Queen Anne in the historical dramedy, The Favourite. "It’s genuinely quite stressful, this is hilarious. I got an Oscar," Colman said. And Rami Malek, who played Freddie Mercury, won best actor for Bohemian Rhapsody.
