British actress Banita Sandhu who appeared in October along with Varun Dhawan recently made it to the headlines for testing positive for Coronavirus. Reports had it that Banita traveled to Kolkata and tested positive for COVID-19. However, she refused to get treated at a Government hospital, the reports stated. Now, the actress has put up a clarification on her social media account and stated that misinformation is being spread. She shared that she tested negative for Coronavirus on several occasions.
Banita Sandhu started off her note by saying, "I appreciate all the well wishes and concern, however, in spite of what has been published, I am grateful to say I continue to test negative for coronavirus." She then went on to state that she traveled to Kolkata on January 3 and had tested negative for Coronavirus twice. Banita then tested on arrival in Kolkata and it turned out to be false positive. Her another report came out to be negative and she was shifted to another hospital.
Her note further read, "However, after being informed I would be quarantined with two COVID-19 positive patients, I asked to self-isolate in a private facility while I waited to be tested again."
In the end, Banita expressed her gratitude towards all the medical staff for their extraordinary efforts. "They are genuine heroes who deserve so much credit for their extraordinary commitment to helping us through these incredibly challenging times." Check out Banita Sandhu's post below:
