Himachal Pradesh, the state full of hills and scenic locations, has decided to not only lend support to Imtiaz Ali’s Tamasha, but also promote it. The states tourism board among its many tourist attractions has included a link on the film, calling it an upcoming Bollywood movie, featuring Ranbir Kapoor and Deepika Padukone in the lead roles.
For the next couple of weeks, RK Jr will be stationed in Shimla to shoot key portions of the movie, though hes still to head to the hill station yet. Imtiaz and the films crew reached Shimla last Thursday and the paperwork for the shooting to commence was completed by Saturday. The film will be shot near Himachal Pradeshs Chief Ministers residence at Oak Overs. The shooting will continue in bits and pieces till December 10.
The first phase of the schedule will have scenes between child actors, who play the younger versions of Ranbir and Deepikas characters. The child actor playing Ranbirs part is based in Mumbai, while the girl playing Deepikas part is from Shimla itself. Ranbir will join the cast later.
