Bollywood diva Nora Fatehi, who has made a name for herself in the entertainment industry with her dancing skills, is currently in the headlines for her involvement with con-artist Sukesh Chandrasekhar. After being interrogated by the Enforcement Directorate (ED), she had gone on to file a defamation suit against various media publications and Jacqueline Fernandez, who was allegedly in a relationship with the conman, for maligning her name and tarnishing her reputation with false narratives.
On Monday, Nora recorded her statement in the case in Patiala House Court, under section 164 of the Code of Criminal Procedure (CrPC). In her statement she said that she has been used as a scapegoat to safeguard certain people. She went on to express how she was called a gold digger and accused of being in a romantic relationship with Sukesh, which caused her a loss of “financial gain and reputation.”
A part of her statement reads, “The reason why I have filed this case is because of the ongoing ED case against Sukesh who was accused of conning a sum of ₹ 200 crore that I have nothing to do with and neither do I know anything.” ALSO READ: Nora Fatehi Recalls Being Told To ‘Date Specific People For PR’; Actress Makes SHOCKING Revelations- DEETS INSIDE

He reportedly duped people on the pretext of promising them jobs and is accused of cheating many people, including high-profile individuals such as former Fortis Healthcare promoter Shivinder Mohan Singh's wife, Aditi Singh, and Malvinder's wife Japna Singh, worth over several crores of rupees. Many actresses alongside Nora and Jacqueline have been embroiled in the case.
On the work front, Nora Fatehi will be next seen in an upcoming comedy film 100% alongside John Abraham and Riteish Deshmukh, and Kunal Kemmu’s Madgaon Express. She will also be judging Hip Hop India, a dance-based reality show, alongside Remo D'Souza.
