As the Diwali festivities continue pretty strongly, just like every year we see our B-Townies thronging to celebrate--- but there's deep sadness in the heart of every Sridevi lover, especially her immediate family who feels her absence no end. This is the first Diwali in Boney Kapoor household in Green Acres (at Lokhandwala) minus Sridevi's sparkle and will continue to be the same. So easy to write this, but so difficult to endure.

We bring you THREE EXCLUSIVE pictures to reflect back on the familial values that Boney and his family stand for, in this festival. Every year they clicked nice, cosy pictures. We first ask you to take a look at a picture from the year 1998, when their daughter Janhvi was all of one. A radiant Sridevi carrying little Janhvi in her arms in the picture below gladdens the heart.

Boney and Sridevi never failed to surprise one and all with their romantic gestures for each other and a decade into the above picture, we have another sweet moment of the couple, this time from Diwali 2008, in which Boney is feeding paneer to his wife. It’s such a cute picture which strongly depicts the kind of love and respect they shared for each other. Mind you, there was never any gossip about the two of them once they committed to each other.

10 years more into that, Sridevi is longer amongst us, and Boney and his lovely daughters observe the festival with memories of the past. It's now a  picture of Boney feeding paneer (a customary dish in their Diwali, which they fed each other) to Janhvi at the dining table in their house (Khushi clicked it), and it is making our eyes moist. Look carefully, there's so much void out there. Here is that picture:

Janhvi, being the elder one, bravely handled the irrepairable loss and managed a successful debut (Dhadak), just few months after Sridevi's demise. It wasn’t easy for her, to let go off her personal sorrow and focus on diverting her attention. How she had wished that her mother could see her first splash on the big screen--- but destiny had other plans.

We vividly recall the time when, two days into the movie’s release, we caught up with Boney Kapoor for an EXCLUSIVE and EXHAUSTIVE INTERVIEW  talking about his daughters and his late wife. The man didn’t beat around the bush and bravely spoke of his love for his family. I could see both- the pain and affection- in his eyes. SEE BELOW IN CASE YOU HAD MISSED IT:

Sridevi, you will always be missed and as much as we hate to end the day of the happy festival of Bhai Dooj with this piece, we laud and applaud to how beautifully Boney, Khushi and Janhvi have managed to give a smile to life and believed in the saying: "The show must go on".
