The Bombay High Court has adjourned the bail hearing of Shah Rukh Khan's son, Aryan Khan in connection with the alleged seizure of drugs on a Goa-bound cruise ship off the Mumbai coast till Thursday. According to a report published in The Times Of India, Advocate Ali Kaashif Khan Deshmukh and senior counsel Amit Desai, appearing for Arbaaz Merchant, concluded their arguments on Wednesday.

Senior advocate and former attorney general of India Mukul Rohatgi, appearing on behalf of Aryan, concluded his arguments on Tuesday. SRK had moved the High Court after both Magistrate and Sessions courts rejected Aryan's bail plea.

According to a report in IndianExpress.com, Mukul Rohatgi on Tuesday argued that no drug recovery has been made from Aryan Khan, and no medical test has shown that he consumed drugs. An India Today report said Rohatgi argued that the small quantity of drugs recovered from Arbaaz Merchantt is not enough to keep Aryan Khan in jail. The court then adjourned the hearing - to be conducted the next day.

Shah Rukh Khan's son Aryan, along with a few others, was arrested by the NCB on October 3 in connection with the seizure of banned drugs onboard a cruise ship off the Mumbai coast. Aryan was sent to 14-day judicial custody on October 7 and has been lodged at the Arthur Road jail since then.

Actor Ananya Panday was also reportedly summoned by the NCB on Thursday and Friday last week. She was summoned after NCB retrieved her chat messages from Aryan Khan’s phone, according to a report published in The Times Of India. She was also called for questioning for a third time on Monday. However, the actress did not attend the questioning owing to her ill health. The officials will reportedly issue fresh summons on a new date to the actress.
