Ashish Vidyarthi got married to fashion entrepreneur Rupali Barua on May 25 in Kolkata. The newlyweds have been making waves for a while and now they have grabbed eyeballs as they headed out for a honeymoon in Singapore. The veteran actor left his fans in a frenzy as he shared a picture of the couple on Instagram on Thursday.
The latest post comes after Ashish Vidyarthi and Rupali Barua, who's from Assam but lives in Kolkata, where she's associated with a fashion store, got hitched in a low-key civil ceremony. For the wedding, Rupali wore a beautiful white mekhela paired with gold temple jewellery, while Ashish wore a white and gold ‘mundu’.
During his interaction with India Today, Ashish spoke about the backlash he received after getting married for the second time.
"I read words like ‘buddha-khoosat (old and decrepit)’ and many more derogatory words. What is interesting is that it is a comment that each one of us, whoever is saying that, we are passing on others who are older than us, and at the same time, we are giving that fear to ourselves, because each one of us, hopefully, will become old. We are telling ourselves, ‘Hey, listen, don't do things just because you're old.’ So, does that mean you're supposed to die unhappy? If somebody wants companionship, why should he not?,” he said.
In a video posted on Instagram after his marriage, the actor then spoke about his ex-wife and how at one point they both realised they want different things in life and parted ways amicably.
