A few days ago, Republic TV editor-in-chief Arnab Goswami was arrested by the Mumbai Police, reportedly in connection to an old abetment to suicide case that was registered in 2018. As per reports, the arrest was made after police in Raigad reopened a case related to the death of interior designer Anvay Naik and his mother Kumud Naik at their home in Alibag in May 2018. The court in Alibaug remanded Arnab to 14 days judicial custody, and now, new mommy Amrita Rao took to her social media to seek Arnab Goswami’s release.

Backing Arnab Goswami, Amrita Rao took to her Twitter, and responded to a tweet by Republic TV which urged people to raise their voice for Arnab, and sought’s people’s support for the movement for Arnab Goswami’s release. Amrita Rao, who recently welcomed her first child with husband RJ Anmol, used three hashtags in support of Arnab, and demanded the release of Arnab Goswami. She used the hashtags, ‘India With Arnab Goswami’, ‘Arnab Life Under Threat’ and 'We Want Arnab Back’. Check out her tweet below.

On Monday, the Bombay High Court rejected the plea of Arnab Goswami for interim bail.


Yesterday, Sona Mohapatra hit back at those who were justifying the denial of his bail. Sona Mohapatra tweeted, “All those people smacking their lips, justifying #ArnabGoswami being denied bail & being housed in a jail inhabited by terrorists & underworld goons, please know that you are no different from ‘fascists’. You endorse ‘political vendetta’.
