Sushant Singh Rajput’s untimely demise has left a void in the lives of one and all. But his demise has re-opened the debate on Nepotism, bullying and favouritism in the industry. Netizens, Bollywood celebs and filmmakers have been targeting many biggies and mafias over the nepotism row. Many a time, we have seen star kids going vocal about their ‘struggle’ and the kind of difficulties they have faced to bag a certain role or a film. But seems like, netizens are in complete disagreement with this.

More than a year ago, Rohit Shetty, Sara Ali Khan and Ranveer Singh arrived on a comedy show to promote their movie Simmba. Considering the nepotism debate, a Sara Ali Khan fan tried to raise a point where she Tweeted in defence of the actress and wrote how being a star kid, Sara had faced her share of struggles. The fan took to her Twitter account and tweeted, “That's why most of the people don't include Sara in the nepotism debate! Her first film almost got shelved due to lack of funds. For her second film, she had to beg Rohit Shetty for a role, neither of her parents helped her bag any of the roles.”

The video from the comedy show opens to filmmaker Rohit Shetty speaking about Sara’s struggles. He stated that neither Saif Ali Khan nor Amrita Singh called him up to cast Sara Ali Khan as the female lead for his blockbuster movie Simmba. He stated Sara had her ‘own share of struggles’. But seems like, netizens have a different take on this and mostly they are in disagreement with Sara’s fan and Rohit Shetty.

One user wrote “Really? So he will cast any fresh non-nepotistic talent in his movie if he/she goes to him and ask nicely?” while other wrote “Aise Kitne Log Hain Jo Rohit Shetty Ke Office Mein Jaa Kar Usse Personally Mil Kar Ek Role Maang Sakta Hain. At least Uske Paaa Woh Opportunity Thi. Koyi Dusra Banda Or Bandi Aise Role Laa Kar Dikhade Toh Hum Bhi Kahenge That There's No Nepotism In Bollywood Industry.” (ALSO READ: Sara Ali Khan Gives Fans A Virtual Peek Inside Her House; Looks Stunning With Purple Lipstick And A Black Cap)

On the professional front, Rohit is waiting for the lockdown to get over so that his magnum opus Sooryavanshi starring Akshay Kumar, Katrina Kaif, Ranveer Singh and Ajay Devgn hits the big screens. For the time being, he will soon be seen hosting Khatron Ke Khiladi 10.
