Actor Neha Dhupia is all set to welcome her second child with her husband Angad Bedi anytime soon. The actress is also set to play a pregnant cop in her next movie, A Thursday - a brave move most actresses cannot take, and don't even get a chance to make. She recently opened up about how women are often forced to pick between personal and professional life when they are expecting.
Neha, in a conversation with Hindustan Times, said she hopes women get more work during their pregnancy. She said, “I’m not going to lie. It’s very hard shooting during the Covid-19 times. Plus, I’m in my third trimester, so the exhaustion is more. But, somewhere I feel that I’m doing this to prove that if I can, others can, too.”
“I can’t do both , but if I can [strike a balance], then maybe things can change in the business. [I hope this would result in] more roles not just for women, but for pregnant women as well."
Neha will be turning 41 on August 27 and is already a mommy to Mehr Dhupia Bedi who is 2 and half years old. Neha debunks the misconception that pregnant women need to sit at home.
