Neena Gupta’s autobiography ‘Sach Kahun Toh’ was virtually launched yesterday by Kareena Kapoor Khan. In her book, Neena Gupta shares her experiences right from her initial days when she was a student at the National School of Drama (NSD) to her successful second innings in Bollywood. During the virtual launch, Neena Gupta talked to Kareena about various aspects of the book. Kareena lauded Neena Gupta for openly talking about her relationships. During the interaction, Neena Gupta opened up on being dumped by a man she was about to marry.
Neena Gupta talked about an ex she was about to marry, but their wedding was cancelled at the last moment. She said that she doesn’t know till date what exactly happened, and that she had no choice but to move on. "I have talked about that guy I was gonna get married and last minute, I had gone to get my clothes made in Delhi, he called up and he said, 'I don't want to marry you.' Till today I don't know why. But what can I do? I moved on,” she said.
Neena Gupta further added that she would have loved to get married to him, and had a lot of respect for the man’s parents. “I was living in their house. He's going to read, he's alive, he's happily married. He has children,” said Neena Gupta.
Meanwhile, lauding Neena Gupta for being so honest in the autobiography, Kareena said, “It's a bold thing also because no one has really addressed relationships so openly which I think is quite cool. There's nothing to hide about it but I think most actors’ autobiographies, nobody really wants to be honest-honest about it.
