Post the complaint, the video from the party was sent to forensics for investigation. It has been reported that forensics have termed the video 'authentic' with no tempering or editing done. Now, the NCB team will decide what action needs to be taken further, as reported by Zee News. Yesterday, reportedly the NCB Chief Rakesh Asthana had held a meeting with top officials members and supposedly, he has given a green signal to his team members to go after the crackdown of the drug nexus.
Meanwhile, a few days ago, Karan Johar had tweeted his statement on social media, clarifying on the viral party video. He had said, "Certain news channels, print/ electronic media and social media platform(s) are wrongly and misleadingly reporting that narcotics were consumed at a party that I, Karan Johar hosted on July 28, 2019 at my residence. I had already clarified my position way back in 2019 that the allegations were false. In view of the current malicious campaign, I am reiterating that the allegations are completely baseless and false. No narcotics substance was consumed in the party. I WOULD LIKE TO UNEQUIVOCALLY ONCE AGAIN STATE THAT I DO NOT CONSUME NARCOTICS AND I DO NOT PROMOTE OR ENCOURAGE CONSUMPTION OF ANY SUCH SUBSTANCE."
