Bollywood actor Nawazuddin Siddiqui’s personal life has been ruling the headlines for quite some time now. His estranged wife Aaliya Siddiqui left no stone unturned when it came to washing their dirty laundry on the internet. She documented every inconvenience she and kids Shora and Yoni had to go through. A day after confirming that the couple will be heading for divorce and fighting a custody battle, Aaliya’s lawyer advocate Rizwan Siddiquee has opened up about the new developments.
He speaks about how he is “hoping for a peaceful settlement among the parties,” so that it doesn’t affect the well-being of the kids and their future. Siddiquee also spoke about the defamation suit filed against Aaliya by Nawazuddin. He revealed that he hasn’t been served a copy of the same as of yet so he will be ignoring it for the time being. Rizwas further added that based on pure merit, the suit is baseless.
“With the parties agreeing to settle, these things will also be settled, it will be an important part while walking towards settlement,” concluded the lawyer.
For the unversed, the couple has been embroiled in the nasty battle for more than three months now. It all started when Nawaz’s mother filed a case against Aaliya for allegedly trespassing into their home. Aaliya had then accused Nawaz and his mother of domestic violence. She went on to state that they have been restricting her provision of food, a bed, and a bathroom. She had also shared a video on her social media handle, where she could be seen sleeping on the living room sofa along with her kids.
