In May, the news of Nawazuddin Siddiqui’s wife Aaliya sending a legal notice to the Sacred Games actor claiming maintenance and divorce, had surfaced. Since then, a lot was said and reported, with several allegations leveled at not just the actor, but also his brother. Now, according to a report in IANS, Aaliya has recorded her statement against the actor and his family members at a police station in Muzaffarnagar, Uttar Pradesh, on Monday.

According to IANS, Aaliya has reasserted her charges, including the charge that a minor family member was molested by Nawazuddin Siddiqui’s brother. She also reportedly repeated other allegations that she had leveled earlier. Aaliya had filed a case in Mumbai, which was then transferred to Muzaffarnagar’s Budhana. The actor and his four family members were booked at the Versova police station in Mumbai on July 27. It was on the basis of a complaint that was filed by Aaliya.

IANS reported the station house officer (SHO) of Budhana police station K P Singh saying, “Statement under section 161 of CRPC has been taken by the investigation officer on Monday. The complainant alleged that Nawazuddin Siddiqui's brother molested a minor family member in 2012. Further investigation is on." The report also states that Aaliya alleged that she had informed her in-laws of the molestation incident, however they had told her to keep quiet about it.
