In the recent episode, alongside her mother and grandmother, Navya opened up about her school days and how she witnessed the difference in culture that had left her shocked. During the finale episode that was released on Saturday, the 25-year-old entrepreneur said, "I remember when I was in school, obviously the cultures are very different, we were in boarding school in England, I used to see the way some of my friends used to speak to their moms, and would be like ‘haw’. Like ‘how can you say that?’ I was like ‘if I ever said this to my mom…’ Like I would never, I would never dare get into a full argument."
She went on to say that she wouldn’t get into an argument with or talk back to her mother out of respect for her more than the fear of her being the mom. Jaya Bachchan chimed in by sharing that it was because it’s our culture to respect our parents and that she has been brought up a certain way. The veteran actress said, "But that’s our culture… I don’t think you should use the word dare… you wouldn’t do it because you’ve been brought up to respect your parents or your guardians."
