National Cancer Awareness Day: Manisha Koirala Recalls Her ‘Arduous Journey Of Cancer Treatment,’ Shares Some Unseen Pictures

Actress Manisha Koirala who battled cancer and emerged as a winner, defeating the deadly disease, has penned a long note on National Cancer Awareness Day. Sharing some pictures when she was undergoing the treatment for the same, she also posted pictures while she recovered from it. In addition to this, she posted a long note, hoping whoever is suffering from cancer, comes out as a winner, and paid her homage to the ones who succumb to it. She also wished loads of love and success to people who are getting treated for it. 

In the caption, Manish wrote, “I want to wish everyone who is going through this arduous journey of cancer treatment, a lot of love and success. I know the journey is tough, but you are tougher than that. I want to pay my respects to those who succumbed to it and celebrate it with those who conquered it.” Urging people to spread awareness about it, she feels all the stories that give hope to survive this disease should be told over and over again. Also she asks people to be gentle towards themselves; in the conclusion, she prayed for everyone’s good health and well being. 

“We need to spread the awareness on the disease and all the stories that are filled with hope need to be told and retold. Lets be kind to ourselves and to the world. I’d pray for everyone’s health and wellbeing. Thank you (sic),” read Manisha’s caption. Take a look at the Instagram post below- 


It was in November 2012, when the actress was diagnosed with ovarian cancer, she was declared cancer-free in 2015.
