The poem says that a person who came in the second class sleeper to the big city to make it big in the town. The poem also says how he struggled in life after failing many times but still, he got up, walked miles and was riding high in the success that brought him the National Award in his hand. Here's the poem in question:
While speaking to SpotboyE.com, he said, "It’s truly humbling and hugely gratifying to win the coveted National Awards. As an artist, I have always tried to back disruptive content that stands out for its quality content. Today’s honour is a validation of my hard work, my belief system, my journey in movies and my reason to be an actor in the first place. Over and above my personal win, I’m thrilled that both the films that I have done - AndhaDhun and Badhaai Ho have won at the prestigious National Awards. It again validates that people of our country want to see cinema that entertains, that they can cherish, discuss and endorse."
Apart from Ayushmann and Vicky winning the Best Actor award, Akshay Kumar, Radhika Apte and Sonam Kapoor's Padman won Best Film on social issue, Sanjay Leela Bhansali bagged Best Music Direction for Padmaavat and Aditya Dhar, Best Director for URI: The Surgical Strike.
