This year will mark Nargis Fakhri’s ten years in the Hindi film industry as her debut film, Imtiaz Ali’s Rockstar with Ranbir Kapoor clocks in on ten years in November 2021. In these ten years, Nargis has been a part of films like Madras Café, Main Tera Hero, Azhar, Housefull 3, Banjo and Torbaaz, apart from some special appearances in chartbuster songs like Dhating Naach and Yaar Na Mile. But these films have been very few and far in between.
Apart from these, Nargis had been in the news for her alleged relationship with actor-producer Uday Chopra. The duo never came on record to admit it. But in a recent interview with ETimes, the actress admitted to having been dating Uday and opened up about their relationship. “Uday and I dated for five years and he was the most beautiful human I met in India. I never have said this to the press as people told me to keep my relationship quiet, but I regret that because I should have shouted from the mountain tops that I was with such a beautiful soul. The internet and social media are very fake and the people out there won't know what the truth is. Most often we idolise certain people who are actually bad behind closed doors,” she confessed.
Lately, Nargis has been in the news for her relationship with her partner Justin Santos, and their loved-up interactions on social media had kept her fans rooting for the couple. However, Nargis revealed that their relationship has run off its course. “We have grown apart but we remain friends,” she admitted.
After 2016, Nargis appeared in only two Hindi films - Amavas and the long-delayed film Torbaaz with Sanjay Dutt. She also did an international project, 5 Weddings with Rajkummar Rao. The actress has been spending her time in the pandemic in the United States, and has stayed in touch with the industry through some of her friends. While Varun Dhawan has been in touch with her virtually on Instagram, she met with Ileana D’Cruz and Huma Qureshi on their respective trips to the US.
