Deepika Padukone and her former manager Karishma Prakash's name popped up in the drug nexus linked to Sushant Singh Rajput’s case. On September 26, Deepika arrived at the Narcotics Control Bureau office for questioning about her alleged ‘maal’ chat with manager Karishma Prakash. Earlier, it was reported Deepika along with Rhea Chakraborty’s manager Jaya Saha had formed a group named DP-Ka-Kwan along with Karishma Prakash, KWAN co-founders. Padukone was reportedly the admin for this group chat.
In the recent development, NCB issued fresh summons to Dippy’s former manager Karishma and she was asked to appear before the NCB, today. According to a report in PTI, NCB told the Court that they won’t take any ‘coercive action’ against Deepika’s manager Karishma Prakash till November 7. Karishma has filed an anticipatory bail plea, fearing the arrest after the NCB issue fresh summons in the drug-nexus case. However, the report further states that Karishma’ bail plea was opposed by the central agency and an application was also moved seeking her presence during the hearing.
During the hearing, the prosecution told court that the Narcotics officials won’t take any ‘coercive action’ – such as arrest – against her till the next date of hearing. The hearing has been adjourned till November 7 by Judge G B Gurao. In the recent development, Karishma, who was asked to be present for another round of questioning, was ‘untraceable.’
