Early last month, SpotboyE exclusively told you that veteran lyricist Javed Akhtar had filed a defamation case against Kangana Ranaut. Akhtar filed the case against Ranaut for her repeated allegations on national TV that he summoned her to his home and “threatened” her for speaking out about her alleged relationship with Hrithik Roshan. A source had revealed to us that Kangana’s allegations were going for long and remedial actions had to be taken. It was being said that no such threat was ever issued. Now in the recent development, the Mumbai Court has ordered Juhu Police to look into the matter and probe the case.
According to a report in India today, the Mumbai court has asked Juhu Police to probe his defamation case against Kangana Ranaut. Police have been asked to submit the report on January 16, 2021, i.e., next year. The report also suggests that the court even asked the police to question the people involved in the matter. Almost after a month of filing the case, Javed Akhtar had recorded his
statement through his lawyer which was submitted before a metropolitan court in Mumbai.
Earlier reacting to Javed Akhtar’s defamation case against her, Kangana had re-tweeted Shiv Sena leader Sanjay Raut’s Tweet and said, “Ek thi sherni… aur bhediyon ka jhund (there was once a lioness… and a pack of wolves).” Raut’s Tweet had read, “Lyricist Javed Akhtar files criminal complaint against Bollywood actress Kangana Ranaut for making defamatory statements on national and international television. The complaint has been filed before the Metropolitan Magistrate at Andheri, Mumbai.”
