Mrunal Thakur, a trail-blazing actress of her generation, has consistently demonstrated her remarkable acting prowess with each successive performance. Beginning her journey in showbiz through television, she swiftly gained household recognition. She made her Bollywood debut opposite Hrithik Roshan in the film "Super 30," marking the onset of an unstoppable ascent in her career. Since then, there has been no turning back for her, establishing herself as a notable actor pan-India.

In a past interview with Galatta Plus, Mrunal Thakur shared her approach to maintaining a sense of minimalism, especially with her sartorial choices. She revealed that most of the outfits she wears for film screenings and public appearances are sourced from a third party. When it comes to her own purchases, she restricts herself to a maximum spend of Rs. 2000. She explained her reasoning, stating, “Because whatever is expensive, you cannot wear them over and over again. You are not going to wear them again. These are not my clothes, I have just sourced them. The maximum money I have spent on a top is Rs 2000. That also I feel is too much.”

Furthermore, in the same interaction, Mrunal emphasized that she believes spending more for the sake of a brand name is simply a waste of money. She talked about her own approach, mentioning that she never buys anything luxurious or expensive just because of the brand name attached to it. She added how she maintains a balance in her wardrobe by having a good match of only one or two classic pieces, with the rest being normal items.

Recently, an internet user shared a screengrab of Mrunal’s interview on the discussion portal, Reddit, highlighting her statement regarding having spent as much as Rs. 2K on any outfit herself. The Redditor disregarded the actress’ statement and emphasized that Mrunal only pretended to be relatable in the public eye.

The post was headlined, “Is Mrunal Thakur, One More Case of an Actor Trying Too Hard To Be Relatable To The Public?”. Despite such criticism, Mrunal Thakur remains steadfast in her commitment to minimalism and authenticity in both her personal and public image. Her approach sets her apart in an industry often associated with extravagance and opulence, resonating with many who appreciate practicality and relatability.
