The positive cases of Coronavirus are increasing day by day in the country. Several celebrities including Kanchi Singh, Alia Bhatt, Akshay Kumar, Rupali Ganguly among others tested positive for the virus. Joining the list were actors- Vicky Kaushal and Bhumi Pednekar who also tested positive for the virus. The duo was shooting together for their upcoming film Mr. Lele. However, given that they tested positive for COVID-19, the shoot has been stopped. As revealed by FWICE's General Secretary Ashok Dubey, the entire unit has stopped shooting.
FWICE (Federation of Western Cine Employees) General Secretary Ashok Dubey revealed to ETimes, "Vicky and Bhumi were shooting for Mr Lele and have tested positive. The entire unit has stopped shooting. Several junior artists were also tested for COVID-19 but they have tested negative for the virus."
Vicky Kaushal took to his Instagram page to let his followers know that he tested positive and is taking all the necessary protocols. The actor is currently under home quarantine and he also requested everyone to take care of themselves. Sharing the news, he wrote, "Khayal rakho dost. Get well soon." Bhumi Pednekar also took to her social media page and shared the news with her fans and followers.
On Sunday, Akshay Kumar tested positive for COVID-19 and was even hospitalised. The actor was shooting for his upcoming film 'Ram Setu' and now the film's shoot has been stopped. Taking to his Instagram, Akshay wrote, "Thank you everyone for all your warm wishes and prayers, they seem to be working. I am doing fine, but as a precautionary measure under medical advice, I have been hospitalised. I hope to be back soon."
