It’s yet another blow for Aditya Roy Kapur-Katrina Kaif starrer Fitoor. We told you how the film’s shows were reduced across several multiplexes in Mumbai and allotted to Deadpool (DEAD: Fitoor shows allocated to Deadpool, Feb 16).
Before Fitoor can complete even one week in theatres, another show was cancelled last night – this time in Delhi.
The story goes, Kunal Gupta, the owner of the popular Mascot Modelling Agency in Delhi was one of those few people who felt like watching Gattu’s adaptation of Charles Dickens’ Great Expectations (Gattu, remember to thank Kunal in your prayers).
So off he went to PVR Cinemas in Saket to catch the 11 pm show – blissfully unaware of what awaited him there.
First things first, he saw that Fitoor tickets were available at a much lesser price than regular weeknight shows (lucky for him, not so much for the producers).
Next, when Kunal asked for a ticket at the window, he was blatantly told that the show was cancelled.
Apart from Kunal, there was just one more person who had walked in for the show! Imagine - just 2 people to see a much-hyped movie on its 5th day.
A disappointed Kunal had no option but to trudge back home without having watched the movie. It’s a different story that those who have suffered through the movie may consider Kunal lucky.
On his way home, Kunal spoke to SpotboyE, “It's not even that cold here anymore, so it can’t be that people have stayed indoors and hence, the low turnout for the movie.”
But Fitoor has gone cold…errr, frozen.
