Yesterday it was reported that the National Commission of Women (NCW) had closed #MeToo case against Anu Malik due to lack of communication/substantial evidence sought from the complainant - Sona Mohapatra. Now Sona has slammed NCW and sought Union Minister Smriti Irani’s help.

Reacting to the news of the case against Anu Malik being closed, Sona Mohapatra slammed the National Commission of Women, and wrote, “This is untrue @NCWIndia @sharmarekha. I have sent all reports collated, tried calling you & responded to all emails despite travelling. The commission has been cryptic, all mails one liners &I can only imagine how you would treat a woman in deep distress.” Now, she has reached out to Smriti Irani and tweeted, “I don’t know why it took them so long to make a perfunctory call. Isn’t the NCW set up to at least listen to women seeking help @smritiirani ji? After sharing multiple testimonies of assault & harassment, formally, shouldn’t Anu Malik be called for an enquiry, investigation?” She also shared numerous tweets explaining her side of the story.
