Self-proclaimed critic Kamaal R Khan is back in the headlines and this time for messing up with actor Manoj Bajpayee, who has decided to take legal action against him. On Tuesday, The Family Man actor has filed a criminal defamation complaint against Kamaal Khan alias KRK in an Indore court for posting an alleged derogatory tweet against him, confirms his lawyer. Bajpayee filed the criminal complaint in the court of judicial magistrate first class (JMFC) against Khan (46) under IPC section 500 (punishment for defamation).

In a statement, Bajpayee's lawyer Paresh S Joshi said he urged the court to register a criminal defamation case in the matter. He also revealed that the complaint was filed in the wake of the tweet that was posted by Khan on July 26 and it defamed the 52-year-old actor and tarnished his image among his fans. Joshi also mentioned that Bajpayee personally appeared before the court to record his statement.

In his tweet, KRK had called Bajpayee 'Ganjedi' (a marijuana addict). He had written, “I am not a Lukkha and Faaltu in life, So I don’t watch web series. Better you ask Sunil Pal. But why do you like to watch a Charsi, Ganjedi Manoj? You can’t be selective. If you hate Charsi Ganjedi in Bollywood, So you should hate everyone.”

This is not the first time that Kamaal R Khan faced backlash from Bollywood actors. A few months ago, Salman Khan had filed a defamation complaint against him. The Sultan actor launched a defamation suit against KRK after the premiere of his film Radhe. While KRK claims the complaint was the result of his evaluation of the film, Salman's legal team claimed that the defamation case was about personal attacks, namely statements KRK made about the star's NGO, Being Human.
