Sonali Bendre returned to India yesterday sporting a heartwarming smile. The actress, who is currently undergoing treatment for cancer, has returned to the country for a short break and was spotted with husband Goldie Behl at the airport (SpotboyE.com had brought you the pictures). While we bet family and friends are gladdened to see the actress back home, Manisha Koirala, who has been extremely supportive of Sonali through her battle with cancer, welcomed her with a beautiful message.
Her tweet read, “Welcome dear.. discovering “the new normal”will be exciting.. navigating mindfully, it is indeed a soulful time !! You have shown grace n strength in trying times.. you are gorgeous inside out!! Big hug.” Sonali responded to the strong message by saying, “Than you my dear for all the consistent support. Lots of love.”

You may recall, soon after Sonali had revealed that she has been diagnosed with high-grade cancer and is in New York for treatment, Manisha had extended support and said, “@iamsonalibendre by the grace of god all will be fine and you will be back home soon with good news sending love n prayers my friend,” to which Sonali had said that she (Manisha) is her inspiration.
Before leaving for India, Sonali had informed fans about her visited but also asserted that her battle with the deadly C is not yet over. “They say "Distance makes the heart grow fonder". It sure does. But let's never underestimate what distance teaches you. Being away from home in the city of New York, I realized I was walking amongst so many stories. And now I'm on my way back to where my heart is. It's a feeling I can't describe in words but I'm going to try - it's the joy to see my family and friends again, the excitement to do what I love and mainly the gratitude for the journey I've had up until this moment." She added, "The fight is not yet over...but I'm happy and looking forward to this happy interval :) It's time to learn that there is a new normal out there and I can't wait to embrace it and #SwitchOnTheSunshine.”
