Mickey Virus actor and TV show host, Maniesh Paul has landed up in hot waters because of his recently shared video. The TV show host dropped a video on social media of his new commercial of a thermal wear product. Paul’s new advertisement features him promoting the thermal wear. In the video, Maniesh Paul plays a tourist who gets robbed by a person. The person steals a scarf that Paul is seen wearing. Towards the end of the video, Maniesh manages to grab hold of the thief and gives him his other clothing wear as well. When the thief asks Maniesh about how he will manage in the cold weather of Kashmir, the actor shows off the thermal wear of the brand he is wearing.


On Twitter, Maniesh Paul shared the video and tweeted, “Happy to share with you all my latest campaign of Dollar Thermals... @dollarbigboss directed by @nonu_chidiya Dollar Ultra hai na, toh kuch extra nai chahiye...Dollar Ultra Thermals is all set to keep you warm #dilse Tune into watch the latest TVC of Dollar Ultra Thermals #HeartWarmer #mp #warm #winters.” Reacting to the tweet, many users expressed their disappointment over the portrayal of Kashmiri in the advertisement. The Twitterati bashed Maniesh and the brand for portraying Kashmiris in bad light. One user wrote, “Mr @ManishPaul03 This is quite degrading. In fact this is quite opposite of Kashmiris. We are known for our hospitality all over the world. You are portraying us as thieves. This should be taken down... Kashmir has a 0% crime rate against tourists..”
