The opening ceremony of the Jio MAMI Mumbai Film Festival 2023, held on Friday, transformed into a star-studded event, featuring notable figures like Priyanka Chopra and Kareena Kapoor. Kareena's forthcoming film, The Buckingham Murders, took the spotlight as the opening night presentation at the festival, and the actress made a statement with her attire. She made a stylish entrance in a black gown accentuated by pink sleeves and matching heels. During the event, she was clicked alongside The Buckingham Murders director Hansal Mehta and producer Ektaa Kapoor. Kareena opted for a natural, nude makeup look and styled her hair in a neatly tied bun. To add a pop of color to her appearance, she wore pink earrings as accessories. On the other hand, Kareena's husband, Saif Ali Khan, accompanied her sister and actress, Karisma Kapoor, on the red carpet. The two of them opted for coordinating white traditional attire. Karisma looked gorgeous in a white and black saree, while Saif stuck to his signature style, donning a white kurta-pyjama paired with a white Nehru jacket for the occasion. This prestigious event is hosted at the Jio World Centre and is slated to run from October 27 to November 5. The program includes an impressive lineup of over 40 World Premieres, 45 Asia Premieres, and 70 South Asia Premieres, with a groundbreaking count of 1000 entries for the South Asia program.
