According to the latest reports, a major fire broke out at a high-rise 21-storeyed building near Bollywood superstar Shah Rukh Khan's residence Mannat in Mumbai on Monday. ANI report mentioned that the level-II fire broke out around 7:46 pm yesterday evening on the fourteenth floor of the 21-storeyed Jivesh Building at Bandstand Road, Bandra. Eight fire tenders reached the site to douse the flames. The fire was reportedly doused by 10:25 pm.
In a statement to the news agency, the Mumbai Fire Brigade said, “A level II fire broke out on the 14th floor of Jivesh Building at Bandstand Road, Bandara (W). 8 fire tenders reach the site. Further details awaited.” No casualties have been reported so far. It is being said that the fire was controlled almost after two hours. Apart from fire engines, jumbo tankers, and ambulances rushed to the spot. Officials of Mumbai civic body, Adani electricity were also present at the spot. Chief Medical Officer Dr. Purva from Bandra Bhabha Hospital informed that one fireman sustained injuries while putting out the fire.
Following the major fire that broke out in the building, the residents of this building were safely evacuated.
Meanwhile, last week on the occasion of Eid, Shah Rukh Khan came to Mannat's balcony to wish his fans on the occasion. He greeted them Eid Mubarak and waved at them from the balcony. On the professional front, SRK is making his comeback to films with the YRF's actioner Pathaan after four years. The movie also stars Deepika Padukone and John Abraham and is slated to hit the theatres in January next year.
