It was on August 5 that PM Narendra Modi performed the 'bhoomi pujan,' or ceremonial stone laying ceremony for the Ram temple in Ayodhya. UP CM Adityanath, RSS chief Mohan Bhagwat and several other dignitaries were present on the occasion. Zee News reported that only 175 guests were invited for the Bhoomi Pujan ceremony. After performing the bhoomi pujan, PM Modi also gave a speech. Made In Heaven actor Shashank Arora tweeted that PM Modi wasn’t wearing a mask at the Bhoomi Poojan for Ram Mandir. His tweet invited trolls, check it out.

Shashank Arora’s tweet read, “Our PM isn’t wearing a mask on national television sitting between five hundred people in a temple that didn’t even exist in the first place. I did not request a birth in this sh*t show.” He was trolled by many social media users who pointed out that PM Modi was wearing a mask during the rituals, and also pointed out all the precautions that were taken. Social media users also said that the speech area looked like it was a safe distance away from the crowd.

One tweet replying to Shashank Arora read, “Because the podium was at a safe distance from the crowd and the speakers sitting at the stage. The whole area was dually sanitized and every guest was tested for COVID a day before the event,” while another tweet read, “He wore a mask during the rituals (the speech area clearly looked like it was a safe distance away), less than 200 people were present there, factually the temple's existence can't be outrightly denied. So maybe chill a little before trumping it out on Twitter.”

Shashank Arora played the role of Kabir Basrai in Made in Heaven. He was also seen in films such as Titli, Brahman Naman, Lipstick Under My Burkha, Manto, among others.
